Parentz Step Up is the nation’s first parental responsibility and accountability campaign reguarding childhood obesity. Parentz Step Up believes that although there are many contributors to the obesity epidimic – fast food, TV, video games, no P.E. in school – parents ultimately responsible and accountable for their children becoming overweight or obese.



But parental responsibility is undermined by what we call Big Fat Industries (fast food, soft drink, junk food industries) and Couch Potato Companies (natl. children’s TV networks), which are making it extremely difficult for mom to raise a healthy family. These industries and companies target children with billions in advertising, marketing and free toys to get them to eat and drink their stuff all the time; and to sit on the couch all day watching TV and playing video games.

The Parentz step up philosophy is simple: The ONLY healthy way for children to eat and drink Big Fat Industries products is in moderation. The only healthy way for children to watch TV and play video games is in moderation.

But, these industries do not promote moderation. If children ate and drank their stuff in moderation, and watch TV and played video games in moderation, these companies would make a lot less money. The average mom has no idea that she is competing against large advertising agencies and corporate MBAs for the health of her children.

Once parents understand how Big Fat Industries and Couch Potato Companies are making it difficult to raise a healthy family, they can truly be responsible and accountable for their children becoming overweight or obese.
